Air Mauritius has been an ATR operator for over 30 years, having been the launch customer of ATR 42 in the African and Indian Ocean region in 1984. Our three ATR72, namely ‘Port Mathurin’, ‘Ile Aux Aigrettes’, and ‘Les Mascareignes’ are an improved version of the first generation ATR aircraft, with new soundproof cabins, and are considered the most reliable aircraft in their category. It is ideal for operating at airports with short runaways such as Plaine Corail in Rodrigues.
