Thinking about traveling to Europe this summer? If so, before departing for your trip, check to see if the airline you are using has an app! In this post, we take a look at 10 European airline’s apps for both Google Play (Android Products) and iTunes (Apple products).

Aer Lingus (EI):

Aer Lingus' app provides easy and fast search flight search functionality, and once you have found the flight you want to buy, safe and secure booking. If you aren't ready to book right then and there, you are able to save searches for extra convenience. Aer Lingus' app also allows you to sign up for their AerClub and get rewarded for flying on them. Once you have created your account, you can; save personal travel information, save any information about your travel companion and save a payment method, so you can easily book your next flight with a couple of click.

When it comes time for your flight, Aer Lingus' app provides a simple and speedy check in process that includes your choice of seat, purchase of any additional bags and even some relaxation time in one of Aer Lingus' lounges. For those who worry about losing their boarding passes, you are able to keep all your boarding passes in one place.

Aeroflot (SU):

Through Aeroflot's app, users are able to preform flexible flight searches with access to more than 180 destinations including on multiple carriers. Once you have booked your flight, you are able to manage that booking, registration and check the status of the flight in your account. Aeroflot's app also allows you to scan your passport when filling in personal data, saving you time and typing.

For the frequent flyer, you can receive vouchers, bonuses and benefits for accumulated miles as well as become informed about the latest Aeroflot news.

 

Austrian (OS): 

With Austrian's app, you are able to check-in and receive your mobile boarding pass all from your smart device. By using the Mobile Check-in 24 hours before your departure, you will save yourself a lot of time at the airport. Once you get to the airport, walk right up to security and show them your mobile boarding pass on your smart device or present your mobile boarding pass directly in the app – even if your device is offline!

On the go and need to book a flight? Search and book your Austrian Airlines flights through the app. You can also view your booking before departure and add additional information or services. Find up to the minute flight information as well as potential disruptions of operations. If your flight is delayed, you can also get information about all of Austrian Airlines' lounges.

 

 Brussels Airlines (SN): 

The Brussels Airlines app is your go-to travel assistant throughout your journey. It shows you all the important information about your trip at a glance. Keep an overview of your upcoming flights right from the home screen. When online check-in is available for your flight (24h before departure), the app invites you to check in! Always at hand – so your boarding passes are always available even when you are offline. Book your Brussels Airlines flights to destinations worldwide on your smartphone.
 

easyJet (U2): 

Book your easyJet flights in an experience designed to be as fast as possible. Use your card or Apple Pay to check out with a single touch. View your bookings, change flights, manage disruption and add seats, bags, sports equipment and much more. Add passport details in seconds by scanning your passport with your phone camera, checking in is now faster than ever before. Store up to five boarding passes per flight which will be available offline so you don’t need a data connection, no more searching for a printer or queuing at check in desks!
 
Watch your planes location in real time and check the latest arrival and departure information with live updates direct from the easyJet Operations Control Centre. 
 

Iberia (IB): 

Choose your destination and date at the fare that suits you best. Once you have entered your information, you can save your credit card details to use for future reservations, saving you time and fumbling for your credit card. When you log into the My Trips section, you can view your booking, change your flight if you need to, check in and save your boarding pass to your smart device so you can access it offline. No need to print it or queue at the airport.
 

Norwegian Air Shuttle (DY): 

Norwegian Air Shuttle app makes sure that you’ll have an easy booking and travel experience. Book flights directly from the travel assistant, add and keep track of trips that you are still planning in your profile, check in on the go since it is convenient and quick. Not a fan of standing around and waiting? Add Fast Track and skip the queues through security – handy when you’re running late or when you just feel like spending your time on other things than standing in line.
 
Norwegian Air Shuttle realizes that sometimes you arrive with more bags than what you expected. By using the Travel Assistant in the app, you are able to add extra checked bags easily. Make sure you get your favorite seat by making your seat reservations for your flight(s) right on your smart device. Worried that you may miss some important information about your flight? Set up push notifications with up-to-the-minute info so you are an informed traveler. One really neat feature is the Travel Archive where you can save information about your previous flights. Norwegian Air Shuttle also provides offline access, so all of your travel information is always there, even if WiFi or cell service is not.

 Ryanair (FR):

Ryanair, known as one of the lowest fares airlines in Europe, provides a great app. Find the lowest fare, check in while you’re on the go, a mobile boarding pass delivered straight to your smart device and a choice of in-flight extras in one quick click.

SAS (SK): 

SAS makes traveling less stressful through their amazing app. Not only are you able to book your flight, SAS raises the bar by providing the option to book your hotel and learn more about your destination! With the ability to add your flight to your calendar, you will have a easy reminder of when your trip is. SAS has integrated EuroBonus and Travel Pass in their app for frequent flyers. The only downside is, as of publishing, SAS's app does not support booking in the US. 

Vueling Airlines (VY):

Vueling's app allows you to choose your destination, book your flight(s) and make secure payment by card, PayPal or Apple Pay in an easy, secure, and private way with a single touch. Is it the day of your flight? You can check in up to 4 hours before departure and save the boarding pass on your phone so you can skip the check in counter. Worried that you may not be able to access your flight information without WiFi or cell data? Vueling has thought of that and you can access your information offline.
 
Passengers are also able to adjust their flight the day of, so if your plans change or something unexpected comes up, you can fly home a few hours earlier. Make sure you sign up for Vueling Club directly on your mobile phone and start to collect points every time you book. The more points you collect, the more you'll save on future flights! Follow the status of your flights in real time and see the scheduled times, terminal and boarding gate. Access and manage your bookings, make changes, add bags and choose seats your flights in minutes. Through the app, you can add the date of your flights directly to your smart device's calendar so you won't forget the important things! For those who are really on the go and don't have time to fish their smart device out of a pocket or bag, you can now synchronize the Vueling app with your Apple Watch!
